Who we are
The Cochrane Camera Club is a membership of passionate photographers from the Cochrane and surrounding areas. We are mix of beginner to professionals with a mission to inspire all types of photography.
What we do
We meet on the second Wednesday of every month from September to June. Our meetings are from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Each month is different! Meetings feature a presentation on various aspects of photography (style, technique, equipment, etc.) by club members or guest speakers.
We also go on several photo “outings” each year, where we travel to a location and take pictures of interesting subjects and locations.
Waiver for club outings:
The Cochrane Camera Club membership is valid from the day of purchase until the following September. The cost of an individual membership is $30 dollars, $50 for a couple and can be paid at one of our meetings. Your membership fees support the operation of the club, and assist in covering the cost of various other necessities. You are welcome to attend your first meeting as a guest.
We thank the members listed below who have volunteered to serve in the executive positions of the Cochrane Camera Club:
President: Pat Johnston
Secretary: Tom Donaghy
Treasurer: Jackie Harbidge
As a member of the Cochrane Camera Club, you have the opportunity to display your photography at Guy’s Cafe in Cochrane. Bring framed photographs to the meeting. Pat takes them to Guy’s for the month. Photos are then returned at the next meeting. The photos should be framed (any size from about 8×10 up to about 24×36 maximum). The most common size we hang is about 11×14 up to 16×20 (after being matted). If you don’t have a frame, the Camera Club has a few 8×10 and 8×12 frames – just bring in the print. This is a great way to showcase your work (and for Camera Club to showcase the talent of its members).
Label for your framed photography at Guy’s: ccc-labels
