Our photo challenge for the September 2018 meeting is “Riding”. We had a Cochrane Camera Club outing to the Cochrane Fair on August 18 to the Bull Riding Classic to get one interpretation of “Riding”, or as many photos will show “No Longer Riding”.
Four members attended as part of our event, though there were a few other photographers attending separately.
The weather was much cooler than the past few weeks, going down to 10 by the end of the evening. There was a very noticeable level, and smell, of smoke, as has been the norm lately. It made the lighting very difficult, particularly later into the event, when we were ratcheting our ISO up into the 5000 plus range in order to keep a high shutter speed to freeze the action.
